Licensed Professionals

ARC Wild is a 501(c) licensed by the USDA, State of Kansas and US Fish and Wildlife Service to provide live animal conservation education.  We exist for the sole purpose of reconnecting today's youth with nature. We'll teach - they'll follow.

Our Team

ARC Wild is made up of 100% volunteers who give freely of their time and talents. We've also partnered with Millford Nature Center in Junction City and participate in continuing education.

Animal Ambassadors

Most of our ambassadors are second chance wildlife. This means they were injured and could not be returned to the wild. We have a wide variety of animal ambassadors including reptiles, mammals, birds, snakes and insects.

Join us in reconnecting today's plugged in youth with nature! Sponsor an animal ambassador, a facility improvement or program in your community! Donations are tax deductible and 100% of your gift goes right back into the community.

Private Events

Host an unforgettable birthday party or event. ARC Wild will tailor a program especially for you! A minimum fee of $75 applies. Availability is limited. Please contact us for more information.

About Us

A Winning Team

Bella Donna, age 6 months

Our amazing team of educators is 100% volunteer. They include wildlife rehabilitators, zoo docents, herpitologists, conservation biologists, pollination experts and retired teachers.

Our History

Director Sherri McNary has been a certified wildlife rehabilitator with Northeast Kansas Wildlife Rescue since 2009 and an education docent at the Topeka Zoo since 2016. She loved the work so much, she decided to bring it home to rural northeast Kansas. Today, ARC Wild is a 501(c)3 organization that is licensed by the USDA, State of Kansas and US Fish and Wildlife Services to provide wildlife education in northeast Kansas.

Education is Our Mission

"We protect what we love." Our mission is to raise up a generation of youth who love nature so much - they grow into adults determined to protect it.
