Curious about wildlife in your own backyard or considering a future career working with
animals or in the field of conservation? Join the ARC Wild Rangers for an up close, hands on
adventure with our conservation biologists. ARC Wild Rangers (6th-8th grade) is led by Ashley Stalder and Amber Bletcher and our NEW! Junior Rangers (4th-5th grades) will be led by Kathy Bure and Kim Schaffer.
You'll explore the world around Kansas through citizen science research, creating enrichment for our animal ambassadors, learning how to teach others about wildlife, taking trips to area zoos and more! Most importantly, you'll learn how to teach other kids about nature in Kansas by working hands on with our wildlife ambassadors like Penelope the skunk or Chiclet our possum (yes, possum). Your participation also qualifies you for future college scholarships and job opportunities.
A one time fee of $50 covers monthly meetings and materials but full scholarships are available! You must apply to participate and we limit group size to 10 youth per age level. Applications will be accepted from April 10th - June 30th. The program meets once monthly and follows the 2024-2025 school year. If you have any questions please contact Sherri at 785-288-1593 or email arcwild@yahoo.com.
